Flight Attendant Screams About Plane Crash

They say that during turbulence you should look over at the flight attendants and not panic unless they look worried? We don’t think this American Airlines flight attendant would have been a big help in that situation. Luckily, she confined her freak-out to the ground.

The Dallas Observer reported that on Friday morning an American Airlines flight was getting ready to take off from Chicago when a flight attendant came on the PA and announced that the flight would not be taking off due to technical difficulties. Another, confused, flight attendant came back on to tell the passengers that they actually would be taking off. This was followed by the original flight attendant ranting and raving about crashes and technical difficulties, reportedly saying, “Captain, I am not responsible for crashing this plane.”

Panicked passengers ended up having to help restrain the flight attendant. The plane went back to the gate and police boarded and removed the flight attendant. The plane was eventually able to take off, although with the help of a new crew, and copious free drinks for the passengers. Reports indicate the troubled flight attendant was experiencing stress and suffers from a bipolar disorder. 

Between Pilots Behaving Badly, Travelers Gone Wild, and now this flight attendant, we sometimes wonder if there’s something about planes that just make people plain crazy.
