Somebody call Fox Mulder. According to an AP report, a group of United employees—including some pilots—claim to have seen a “mysterious, saucer-shaped craft hovering over O’Hare Airport last fall.”
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesperson Elizabeth Isham Cory says that while there were reports of a “spinning disc-shaped object” above O’Hare, a check of the radar found nothing unusual. To which I have to ask, is this supposed to be proof that there aren’t little green men checking us out? Because if the aliens can reach us from outer space, I’m sure they could do so without triggering our radars.
For a more scientific theory, however, Cory offers the following: “That night was a perfect atmospheric condition in terms of low (cloud) ceiling and a lot of airport lights. When the lights shine up into the clouds, sometimes you can see funny things.”
So was it aliens or a weather phenomenon? I don’t know … but I’m sure the truth is out there.
