When visiting the park you should respect all the rules and limitations in order to preserve this natural wonder for future generations.

No Swimming

Although the crystal clear water of the lakes look so inviting, swimming is not allowed inside the National Park. The lakes are strictly protected, and you are not allowed to stand, wade or swim in them at all.

No Fishing

Passionate fishermen may be sorely tempted to cast a line into the water here. Fish are plentiful in the park’s lakes, and there’s an abundance of trout in the lower lakes, but fishing and hunting are not allowed anywhere, anytime in the entire national park.

No Feeding

It is absolutely forbidden to feed any of the wildlife, including fish and ducks. In fact, it is illegal to throw anything in the water. Tourists throw coins in the water like it’s a wishing fountain at the mall, but the coins harm and even kill the fish. People break this rule and feed the fish anyway, so the fish swarm by the walkways hoping for a nibble. Don’t give in to temptation. If you feed the fish you are not helping them, you are interrupting the natural ecosystem. Just don’t do it.

Walking Paths

Some of the rules in the park aren’t there for the sole benefit of the ecosystem and the wildlife, they are in place to protect you, too. Stay on the walking paths. The forest may be as tempting as the lakes for some, but people unfamiliar with the landscape can easily get lost off the beaten path.

This is a wild, and well-preserved place and the forest around the lakes is a natural habitat of many wild animals, including wolves and bears.
