Movie Theaters

Beav’s Bar has a film night on Tuesdays where they broadcast local movies and TV shows that might not otherwise make it up onto the silver screen. Gambling is legal throughout most of Australia, but only in select locations that are affectionately referred to as “pokies”, short for poker houses. Don’t think that it’s just a bunch of card tables, however, as video gambling is huge when you go Down Under. One well-known mini-casino, Buckleys, services anyone who comes to Geelong in search of some fun and maybe a few more bucks in their pocket. Buckley’s has all the amenities of home, including a restaurant and live music.
