Damesha Beach

The beach at nightfall is a popular destination. This is especially true if there is a moon out, it’s rather surprising just how bright the water becomes just from the moon and stars. There are plenty of facilities nearby should you need to use the restroom or just want to grab a snack as you chill.

Clubs & Bars

True Colors

This is a nightclub you should check out if you love a wide range of music. With hits ranging from techno to old school hip-hop, this is a spot typically populated by the younger crowd, but everyone is welcome. Just bring your rhythm and ability to dance on the dance floor.

Hei Hei

This is probably the most popular nightclub in Guangzhou. It also has a wide range of people with seemingly all nationalities covered. It is a great spot to mingle with visitors and locals alike (that is really what makes the club so fun). This is a Top 40’s hip-hop club, and while you’ll hear some national hip-hop and pop music, the vast majority is American, so you’ll likely at least know many of the tunes.

SUNS Club

If you like rock, this is the club for you. It has a solid mixture of people, with different age groups covered as well as both locals and visitors. It has a great view next to the water as it is a transformed beer manufacturing and distribution plant. This gives a very industrial feel to it, that also offers it plenty of room to just kick back and have a blast. Nearby is The Wave. This is a new club that you can easily walk to.

The Brew and The Tavern

Maybe you’re not really the dancing type and would rather just kick back with friends and sip on a beer or drink while talking. If that is the case, The Brew and The Tavern are places for you. They have a nice outdoor patio area where you can sip on your drink, or you can head inside. Both offer up a great vibe and caters to all ages.

Words of Caution

No matter what club, bar or disco you go to, always watch your drink. Having something slipped into a drink is not completely unheard of here, so you need to practice caution. Either finish your drink before you use the restroom or have a friend keep an eye on it. If you leave a drink unsupervised it is better to simply order another drink and play it safe than to keep drinking it.
