Kuala Lumpur What to Pack

Kuala Lumpur is an ancient city, and a very large and vibrant city that is the capitol of Maylasia. Many tourists flock here for the great shopping, scenery, and food. It is a tropical country, and can get very hot and wet, and those are prime considerations when packing for a trip there.

Luggage

No matter what you have planned for your Kuala Lumpur adventure, these luggage options are ideal for a short or long-term stay.

Clothing

Since it is hot year round, you will need light colored clothing. T-shirts are recommended, and remember that light colored ones reflect the heat a little, while darker colors absorb heat. General Supplies

The shopping is big, so a shopping bag would be a good idea. While it is always hot, there is also the rainy season, when it rains most of the time. Even in other times of year, though, a quick shower can come up. It is a very good idea to pack a small umbrella. This can come in handy in the heat as well.  A secondary item would be sunglasses, because the sun is very bright.

Health Supplies

Sunscreen would be a good thing to pack, as it will be much cheaper and is at times hard to find here. Many people get sick as well when going to another part of the world. Bringing along a supply of Doryx (Doxycycline) will help fight bacterial infections and malaria. Travelan is a product that can stop diarrhea as well.
