Minneapolis has a wide variety of nightlife activities to choose from. From classical music concerts to giant dance clubs, you’ll always find something to suit you.

Music on the Mall

Orchestra Hall, a modern hall known for its acoustics, is home to the Minnesota Orchestra. The building is next to Nicollett Mall and Peavy Plaza. In addition to classical concerts the hall hosts many other musical events including popular music and jazz.

Nye’s Polonaise Room

Featured on the TV show America’s Best Bars, this is a classic Minneapolis institution. Nye’s is a Polish-American restaurant that turns into lounge after dark. With decor straight out of the early 70’s, an organ player that you can karaoke to, and Ruth Adam’s World’s Most Dangerous Polka Band, you’ll think you have just walked in to the movie “Swingers.” It’s a great place to hang out and have a good time.

Brit’s Pub

There isn’t a better spot in the Midwest to have a pint of beer with friends. In the summer, sit on the rooftop patio and look out over the city. The appetizers are excellent, and better than the real (British) thing.

If you have some extra cash and want to try something new, there’s a lawn-bowling green on the roof, with lessons available.

Gay 90’s

The Gay 90’s is a four-floor night club complete with drag shows, dancers, and good times. This gigantic LGBTQ dance club is not just for the gay community. Minneapolis partiers head here to mingle and dance the night away. The Gay 90’s has the only all-male strip show in town, eight bars, and many dance floors. There’s karaoke some nights, and drink specials most nights.
