There are plenty of historic hotels and B&B’s both in downtown New Hope and throughout the Bucks County and Lambertville countryside (some are even rumored to be haunted by restless Colonial ghosts). It’s best to get a room that’s within walking distance of the center of town if your goal is to explore the shops and art galleries of Lambertville and New Hope — Main Street parking is a rare and precious thing. But if the purpose of your getaway is a peaceful country retreat, choose lodging in the woods, in a charming farm or along the Delaware River, where you will have instant access to nature.
