New Hyatt Promotion Is a Win for Frequent Travelers

It’s been awhile since Hyatt’s last systemwide bonus promotion. That will be remedied beginning next month, with a new offer that, at least for high-frequency travelers, will have been well worth the wait.

Offer Details

As confirmed by a Hyatt representative on FlyerTalk but not yet shown on Hyatt’s website, between April 1 and June 30, Gold Passport members can earn up to 75,000 bonus points, as follows:

  • 5,000 bonus points after five nights
  • 10,000 additional bonus points after 10 nights
  • 15,000 additional bonus points after 15 nights
  • 20,000 additional bonus points after 20 nights
  • 25,000 additional bonus points after 25 nights

Add ’em all up, and there’s the potential to earn 75,000 bonus points after 25 paid nights.

Deal or No Deal

Hyatt has dubbed the promotion “Stay More Play More.” Equally apt would be “Pay More Play More.”

The offer is structured to disproportionately reward higher-frequency customers, with travelers earning 1,000 bonus points per night after five nights and an average of 3,000 bonus points per night after 25 nights.

So, the value of the promotion will depend on your ability to rack up multiple Hyatt nights during the three-month window. For those unable to log the entry-level five nights, the promotion is moot. For those who qualify at the lower thresholds (five or ten nights, say), the offer is decent if not compelling. And for those few who might be able to reach the 20- or 25-night thresholds, the offer is potentially a game-changer, a solid reason to make Hyatt their go-to hotel through June.

In other words, pay more, play more.
