New York to India on JetBlue?

New York to Delhi on JetBlue? It could happen—sort of. The Richmond Times-Dispatch is reporting that the airline may be eyeing new international partners. “We are actually in the very early stages of figuring out a way for customers to [fly] with any international airline that wants to partner with us,” says JetBlue spokesperson Jenny Dervin.

That means you could potentially fly from Buffalo to JFK on JetBlue, then connect to one of its possible new partners and continue on to Europe, India, or elsewhere on the partner airline. JetBlue has focused exclusively on low fares and fancy perks for its domestic and Caribbean routes in its five-plus years of operation, but with its recent financial difficulties it’s not surprising to see the airline poking around for new revenue sources.

USATODAY.com’s Ben Mutzabaugh notes JetBlue may look to Virgin Atlantic, MAXJet, and Air India as possible partners.
