Café Gratitude in California
This California-based organic, vegan chain is one of Senior Editor Christine Sarkis' vegetarian favorites. Café Gratitude has locations in Los Angeles, San Diego, Venice, Santa Cruz, and Berkley, and specializes in gourmet dishes that are made with local, seasonal ingredients. Whether you're in the mood to share a few appetizers, enjoy a hearty rice bowl, or are just stopping in for a smoothie, this place has something for everyone.
Some of Sarkis' favorites are the BLT wrap made with coconut bacon and chipotle cashew aioli; all of the specialty rice bowls, which are full of warm, perfectly cooked veggies and come in your sauce of choice; and the creamy coconut smoothie.

Sattvik in New Delhi, India
India is one of most vegetarian-friendly countries in the world, and if you're visiting New Delhi, Sattvik is one of the best places to satisfy your veggie fix. The restaurant has a variety of soups, salads, and appetizers to start, but save room—the main entrees are really hearty.
Start your meal off with homemade cottage cheese infused with sweet basil and garlic; or the Vegan Dragon Rolls, which are steamed and stuffed with exotic veggies. Terre a Terre in Brighton, England
The motto, where vegetarianism is more about indulgence than abstinence, proves true at this multi-award winning restaurant. Terre a Terre has been one of the longest-standing vegetarian eateries in Britain, offering eclectic vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free dishes.
Take your pick from a variety of a-la-carte items or order a three-course meal. The fried sweet corn chermoula chips with chilli chelly jelly and avocado coriander garlic hash is a popular starter. To follow, try the buttermilk-soaked halloumi—a semi-hard cheese made with goat's and sheep's milk—topped with vodka-spiked plum tomatoes, pea and mint hash, and pickled quail eggs. And for dessert, order the Churrosimo—it comes with cinnamon sugar spice doughnut straws with vodka cherries, and chocolate and salted caramel dipping sauces.
