With a coveted location on Central Park South, Park Lane New York is the ultimate destination for a treat yourself trip to New York City. Following a recent $80 million renovation, this stylish hotel brings a much-needed lighthearted modern luxury to Manhattan’s Billionaire’s Row.
Choose a park view room for panoramic views of Central Park, and you could spend the day sipping coffee and cocktails as you watch the sun rise and set and the city become aglow with light. The only downside? It can be difficult to pull yourself away from the window and actually get out and explore New York City.
The Location
Rising 47 stories above Central Park, The Park Lane boasts an unbeatable location. Set on Central Park South, the hotel is just steps from the world-famous public park, and within easy walking distance to numerous attractions including The Museum of Modern Art, Carnegie Hall, and the shops along Fifth Avenue.
A number of subway stations can be found within a few blocks’ radius of the hotel, making getting around the city a snap.
Amenities
All 610 rooms at the Park Lane offer luxurious amenities including:
- Le Labo toiletries
- Slippers and robes
- Evening turndown service
- Clothing steamer
- Mini-fridge
The 24-hour fitness center is one of the best hotel gyms we’ve ever seen. The seriously well-equipped space has in-demand equipment like Peloton bikes and The Mirror by Lululemon to help guests get a boutique workout while traveling.
The Rooms
Whimsical guest rooms feature pink velvet chaises and walls with hand-painted custom murals inspired by Central Park’s flora and fauna that make each room unique. Rooms range from standard 350 square foot king rooms to a 2 bedroom, 1,750 square foot penthouse. The plush beds are topped with Bellino linens and the chic marble and tile bathrooms are stocked with deliciously scented Le Labo toiletries.
We stayed in a Park View Studio Suite. Situated on higher floors, these spacious suites offer unforgettable aerial views of Central Park in its entirety. The large 485 square foot rooms feature a palatial king bed, comfortable sitting area by the windows (from which to admire the view) and a small workspace with a desk chair.
Dining
The Park Lane has three diverse dining options: Harry’s, Rose Lane, and Darling.
Harry’s
This recently renovated restaurant just reopened, and is currently serving a limited drinks and dinner menu.
Rose Lane
A charming, French-inspired space just off the lobby offers coffee, cocktails, and grab-and-go bites throughout the day. A beautiful, rose-lined outdoor terrace creates a secret garden-esque atmosphere that attracts guests and locals alike for happy hour in warmer weather.
Darling
Central Park South’s only rooftop lounge serves snacks and cocktails to a vibey crowd in the evenings.
