What’s more Miami than partying all night? Sleepless Night, a free, 13-hour cultural extravaganza is set for Saturday, November 3. This is the same night Daylight Saving Time ends, which gives celebrants an extra hour to party.
More than 130 events will make up this party, inspired by the Nuit Blanche phenomenon that’s sweeping Europe. Dance performances, live bands, street parades, and art installations will fill the city, and free public transportation will make it easier to get between events.
I haven’t yet been to Nuit Blanche, but I’m a huge fan of Paris’ summer solstice Fête de la Musique, and love the feeling of a city bursting with music and people in the middle of the night. I imagine the appeal here is similar.
