Online shoppers, you’ll now have one less step when purchasing tickets on Southwest.com: The low-cost airline announced a new partnership with PayPal. Effective immediately, travelers can use their PayPal accounts to purchase Southwest tickets.
This may be a particularly good perk for travelers without a credit card, as PayPal customers can link their personal bank accounts to PayPal. It’s also a welcome time-saver for those with credit cards, as you won’t have to enter your card number, expiration, and verification code—just click on the PayPal link and the payment’s all set.
Northwest announced a similar partnership on June 28; you can bet with Southwest’s addition, other airlines will follow suit (and not just those with “-west” in their names).
