Of course, the beautiful beaches, coastal landscape, and sea towns along the Atlantic coast are what most visitors come here to enjoy, but that does not mean it is a dull place once the sun goes down. There are plenty of bars, restaurants, and clubs that will let you enjoy the view until the last light is gone, and start your party.

Though it might not be what you expected, Praia has lots of Irish bars due to the Ryanair connection. Some of the bars offer free seating with great views, so if you want to save a bit but still get out for the night, you can take your own food and still take advantage of the space. Most of them offer cheap tourist menus though, so finding cheap food won’t be an issue, though if you are looking for really good food, that might be more of a challenge.

The Cloque Bar is said to have the best view and ambiance in Praia da Rocha. Truly something out of the ordinary for this resort area, it is off the beaten path — a white stucco building with bright blue trim, it will make you feel like you discovered a place that is all your own. Located on the cliffs, this place has breathtaking views and the owners are very friendly. For a sunset drink or a grown-up evening overlooking the sea, this place is a must. There is also food available.
