Norwegian Cruise Line recently threw a big welcome party for its newest ship, the Pride of Hawaii, in Germany.
Germany? How much farther from Hawaii can you get?
The Pride of Hawaii has a long road ahead of her before she can relax in the Hawaiian sunshine, sailing year-round interisland itineraries. First, she heads to Baltimore (another destination quite unlike Hawaii), arriving at the end of April. Then she has to get herself over to San Francisco and Los Angeles, presumably through the Panama Canal, where she’ll have to show off in a series of inaugural events.
Finally, the Pride of Hawaii will set off across the Pacific and begin her Hawaii voyages on June 5, a month and a half after her first coming out party. Home at last!
