Santiago de Cuba – Bucanaro Resort

We recently returned from Cuba, Santiago de Cuba area. We stayed at the Bucanaro resort. It was the worst vacation I have ever been on. The price was reasonable, but the old saying goes “you get what you pay for”.

The resort itself was run down and in need of some repairs. Our room stunk like sewer, the toilet leaked, and the A/C was noisy. The entire 7 days we were there, our beach towels were never changed. They would just fold them no matter how dirty they were. The buffet was disgusting, food not being kept at it’s proper temperature, sour milk for the coffee & cereal. When something ran out, it was not refilled. One bottle of ketchup for 50 tables. The same food every day. They really need to learn how to bake.

The toaster was broken, so instead of having it repaired, the covered it with a table cloth. The snack bar if you want to call it that should change it’s name to grease pit!! The oy thing the offered ws greasy fries Nd deep fried frozen hamburger patties. The pool area is sticky and dirty. We won’t be returning to that resort ever, even if they sent me for free!!!!
