Take advantage of the lowest rates all year at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya, an upscale all-inclusive resort near Playa Del Carmen. Travel Ticker is offering discounts on four-night, air-inclusive stays between August 16 and December 23. Sample rates for early September stays include $644 per person from Houston or $715 from Atlanta. Mexico Sale From Alaska Air
Through August 15 Alaska Air's Mexico sale slashes prices on summer and autumn flights, with fares as cheap as $92 each way. This sale is targeted to travelers departing from cities in the western U.S., and other airlines, including Continental, Delta, and US Airways, are matching on some routes. We found round-trip sample fares (before taxes and fees) such as $218 between Los Angeles and Mazatlan, $238 between San Francisco and Los Cabos, and $336 between Boise and Puerto Vallarta.
Cancun
Through Friday, August 12, flash-sale provider Yuupon is offering discounts of up to 74 percent on three nights at the all-inclusive Gran Caribe Real Resort in Cancun for two adults and two children. The discounted price of $299 (original price: $1,149) includes spacious suites, unlimited dining and drinks at the five-star resort's eight restaurants, and nonmotorized water activities. Additional nights can be added to the package.
Nuevo Vallarta
The Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta offers a beachside escape just 10 minutes from downtown Puerto Vallarta. Flash-sale provider TripAlertz is currently offering 80 percent off seven-night stays, with package prices for two adults and up to two children for $479 (hotel website price: $2,900). Free airport pick-up and late checkout are included in the price, as is a room with a private plunge pool. Book by August 16 for stays through June 2012.
CheapCaribbean All-Inclusive Sale
Package provider CheapCaribbean has sale rates at two all-inclusive resorts in Mexico, but only for bookings through Friday, August 12. Promo code BEACH100 will get you $100 off the price of an air-and-hotel package plus $100 in resort credit at Valentin Imperial Maya near Cancun or at the Holiday Inn Resort in Los Cabos. We found sample prices of $479 (plus taxes of $83) per person at the Valentin Imperial Maya with airfare from Ft. Lauderdale and three nights' accommodations, or $544 (plus taxes of $93) at the Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos with four nights and airfare from Los Angeles.
