For the first time in years, [% 11070 | | Seabourn %] is launching [% 1612602 | | new ships %]. As the company prepares to introduce modern, cutting-edge vessels to its fleet, it’s giving extensive makeovers to its three existing ships.
Between September 2007 and April 2008, the Seabourn Pride, Seabourn Legend, and Seabourn Spirit will receive multi-million dollar refurbishments. Two ships will get a redesign of their open-air dining venues to increase capacity. The twin staircases leading up to the ships’ Sky Bars will be replaced with a single flight of stairs to increase deck space below. Further improvements include new bedding in all suites, new carpets in public areas, renovations of the spas’ treatment rooms, and new furniture in the card rooms and Internet centers. Finally, the ships’ liveries will be updated with new decoration on the hulls.
If you’d like to check out these upgrades, the Seabourn Pride is the only ship currently sporting the new look. In 2008, the Seabourn Spirit will get a January makeover; the Seabourn Legend will have to wait until April.
