Southwest today announced it will add 18 flights in 15 cities this summer.
The expansion includes one new daily nonstop between Houston’s Hobby airport and San Diego (beginning June 4), five new daily nonstops between Denver and Oakland (June 17), an extra daily nonstop between Orlando and Long Island (July 2), one additional daily nonstop between Orlando and Birmingham (July 17), and one additional daily nonstop between Denver and Hobby.
The airline credits its expanded flight schedule to increased capacity, courtesy of the 37 new aircraft it’s bringing into its fleet in 2007.
