Subic Shopping
Subic is a municipality in Zambales, Philippines. Tucked alongside the South China Sea, Subic has many shops for locals and tourists.
Duty Free Shopping
There are only three major duty free shops at Subic Bay Freeport Zone: Pure Gold, Royal, and Freeport. The duty-free shops carry locally manufactured goods alongside imported merchandise. These shops form an alternative shopping experience to the malls found in the metro area of Manila. While offering good prices, duty-free shops don’t always offer the latest goods, and some consider their goods to be out of fashion.
Marts
Arirang Mart, a Korean Mini-mart in Subic Freeport, is a symbol of the growing South Korean presence in the Philippines. It primarily caters to South Korean expatriates and workers of Hanjin Shipping Corp, the largest Korean investment in the Philippines. Inside, you will see lots of Korean merchandise like assorted seasonings for galbi, sangyeopsal, and japchae. This mart also offers various alcoholic beverages, although many are, again, Korean brand beers.
