I’ve mentioned in the past that the travel industry is edging closer and closer to allowing personal cell phones on flights. Apparently I’m not the only one who hates the idea.
A recent International Airline Passengers Association (IAPA) survey “has revealed fears that the impending introduction of cell phones onboard commercial jets will be disruptive, anti-social and even dangerous,” according to a report at travelagentcentral.com.
The IAPA says some carriers may permit in-flight personal cell phone usage by the end of the year. To which I have to wonder: Is anyone really asking for this?
