Just half a block from Times Square, the Muse New York is known as the “calm in the eye of the Times Square storm.” Despite the central location, the hotel is shockingly quiet and relaxing.
This four-star hotel is surprisingly affordable (especially if you can snag a mid-week promotional rate) and is one of the best deals in Manhattan.
The Location
The Muse occupies a prime location on 46th between 6th and 7th—just a minute outside of Times Square. The bright lights of Broadway, relaxing green space of Bryant Park, and the iconic Chrysler Building are all easily accessible on foot from the Muse.
The hotel is conveniently located near a number of subway stations, and Grand Central Terminal is just a half-mile away, making it easy to get around the city (and out of town).
Amenities
Planning on making your trip a workcation? The Muse has a number of large common spaces that are great for taking a quick Zoom meeting or getting some work done.
The hotel’s 1,000 sq. ft. fitness center is huge (especially for New York) and is stocked with Peloton bikes, treadmills, and ellipticals for a great workout. It’s open 24 hours a day, in case you need to work off that late night dinner.
Other amenities at the Muse include:
- Free WiFi
- 24-hour concierge
- EV charging station
- Valet parking
- Atelier Bloem toiletries
The Muse is pet-friendly, and if you’re traveling with an animal companion the hotel offers a pampered pet package that includes amenities such as:
- Dog bed
- Cat tree
- Bathroom pads
- Bowls
- Treats
The Rooms
There are 200 guest rooms at the Muse, including 19 suites that offer apartment-style accommodations. We stayed in the unbelievably spacious Muse Suite, which featured a separate bedroom and living area. A large marble bathroom offered a shower and oversized soaking tub.
Balcony suites with city views are also available—a great perk in warmer months.
All rooms come with luxurious Frette linens on the comfortable beds.
Price and How to Book
Rates start at around $200 and can be booked on the Muse New York’s website.
