Beautiful Promenade

The biggest draw to Netanya is the promenade that follows the shoreline for 4.5 km. Besides enjoying the sand and waves, the promenade offers wonderful views of the sea from the cliffs that are above the beach. The cliffs on the north side of the promenade are especially high, while the cliffs to the south are a bit lower.

The north part of the Nizza Promenade is beautiful with sloping hills and vegetation. The middle of the promenade tends to be crowded on weekends with families, locals, and tourists. Netanya Amphitheater

The amphitheater is situated on the low cliffs in the center of the promenade, close to Independence Square. Besides enjoying musical performances or other events from one of the 1,200 seats, it’s a perfect place to watch the sun set over the Mediterranean Sea.

Netanya Town Square

The center of Netanya is made up of tiny streets and cute shopping venues. The square is where it all comes together. During the day it’s full of people shopping, sitting at cafes, and enjoying the sunshine. In the evenings it’s just as busy with tourists and locals enjoying the restaurants and street entertainment. Local musicians are apt to set up in the square once the summer heat dissipates and the cool breezes of the evening begin to blow.
