Santa Rosa Things to Do
The city of Santa Rosa, Philippines, is a suburban town with some major attractions for tourists. Check out some of the most popular things to do in this city.
Water Taxi at Nuvali
Nuvali is a shopping center in the heart of the city. Here, you’ll find some smaller shops, and a number of restaurants. The big draw to this area is the man-made lake. For a small fee, you can have a water taxi take you around the lake. It’s a short trip, but you can get some good photographs of the shoreline. The boat won’t leave unless there are six people, but if you have a small group and are feeling impatient, you can pay additional money to cover the cost of the missing people.
Shopping at Paseo Santa Rosa
If you’re looking for an American-like shopping experience, head over to Paseo Santa Rosa. It’s a large mall that features many well-known American brands including, Nine West, Nike, and Timberland. There are bars in the back if you want to relax at the end of the day. Some of the restaurants found here include The Old Spaghetti Factory, Pancake House, Santi’s Delicatessen, and Starbucks. This makes for a nice change when you’re tired of local flavors and are craving the tastes of home.
Tons of Fun at Enchanted Kingdom
Anyone who visits Santa Rosa should plan to spend a day or two at Enchanted Kingdom. It was built in 1995, and is the area’s first theme park. People of all ages will enjoy exploring the many themed areas of the park.
At the Midway, for instance, you’ll find some classic theme park rides, such as a roller coaster, a Ferris wheel, and a swinging pirate ship. The Victoria Park area is designed to mimic the look of Queen Victoria’s England. The only ride there is the carousel, but you’ll like the actors dressed in costumes. Watch out for the wizard. Brooklyn Place is designed to look like old Brooklyn, while Portabello is designed to look like a city in the Caribbean. Both of these areas feature interactive movie theaters. Other areas include the Spaceport, Jungle Outpost, and the dinosaur-themed Boulderville. Each area has rides, shows, and eating areas to grab a quick snack or a full meal. Bring a comfortable pair of walking shoes because you’ll be walking a lot.
