An Atlanta airport terminal and its MARTA rail service were shut down for over half an hour Friday morning, all because of an unattended toothbrush.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that workers noticed that a bag checked on an AirTran flight was making a strange noise, so the terminal had to be closed down while officials investigated. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the noise was coming from an electric toothbrush that had accidentally been switched on inside a passenger’s bag, causing it to vibrate.
The moral of the story? Always remove the batteries from your electronic appliances before tossing them inside your luggage, to avoid any embarrassing security situations.
