Trapani Transportation
Seated comfortably on the west coast of Sicily lies the beautiful city of Trapani. It is a well-connected city with a robust transportation network of buses.
Buses
Buses are the most popular option of travel in the region, both for traveling from the city and for traveling within it. Once you leave the airport, the chance is that you’ll be taking a bus as well. On your arrival at Trapani, buy a ticket in the arrivals hall. The bus company is AST, and you will see an AST bus stop directly outside the airport arrivals terminal. The bus stop also includes a timetable if you’re wondering when the next bus is departing. Tickets are only one euro, making it a great deal.
Guests within the city have the option of getting a Trapani welcome card. This card allows for three days of unlimited bus use within the city. It’s also good for one return trip to nearby Erice. This is the best way for getting around Trapani while staying on a budget.
To get from Trapani to the city of Palermo, you can take the bus. The terminal is next to the train station, and the bus is actually faster and more frequent than the train. Part of the reason is that the train takes a very roundabout route, and is quite slow.
