Everyone knows that summer travel is not cheap. And if your summer travel involves a [% 13516 | | Crystal %] cruise, it’s really not cheap. However, if you like to travel in style, Crystal is making it somewhat less expensive to fly to your European cruise departure port.
Crystal has extended its offer of reduced business-class airfare for select summer sailings in Europe. If you book your cruise by June 30 and choose to fly business class, you will pay Crystal’s coach add-on fare plus an upgrade fee of $999 one-way or $1,998 round-trip. While I gag on the high cost of such a plane ticket, Crystal reassures me that these prices are actually 50 percent lower than unrestricted business-class airfares to Europe.
Applicable cruises include all Crystal Symphony sailings departing between July 18 and August 31 and all Crystal Serenity sailings departing between July 2 and August 31. The reduced airfare promotion is capacity controlled and subject to availability.
Is this a good deal? I suppose if you want to fly business class and you’ve compared airfares, you can determine if these prices are indeed lower than normal. However, if you’re like me, and have to take several deep breaths before paying even $1,000 round-trip for airfare, coach class will be just fine.
