Trying to put Turkey in a review is a challenge. The diversity of the landscape, the people, and the possible activities can be frustrating because in a standard vacation timeframe, there is so much you won’t get to do. A balloon ride in Cappadocia is unique, the whirling dervish ceremony in Konya is awe-inspiring, the Mediterranean in Side at night after a 9 hour drive is unbelievably rejuvenating, sea kayaking over a sunken city in Kekova is invigorating, a scuba dive in Kas is just plain FUN, the emerald coast is incredibly beautiful, and Ephesus and all of the history throughout Turkey is so interesting. Finally Istanbul is exotic.
The food is universally good, filling and plentiful. Order 1 entree with an appetizer/soup/salad. This is plenty for 2. Ask lots of questions. The answers are fascinating.
Most of all go. Turkey is truly an amazing part of the world.
