Turkey Nightlife Tips
Turkey’s booming economy and increasing prosperity has had a big effect on the energy, vitality and variety of its nightlife. The range of entertainment is enormous with new clubs cropping up by the week, making Turkey’s nightlife scene one of the liveliest in all of Europe.

Marmaris Bar Street
There are two Bar Streets in Marmaris. There’s Bar Street at the center of Marmaris and another “uzunyali” Bar Street at the beach side. Both streets are full of fun and the bars and clubs charge fair prices. If you’re looking for nightlife, head for either Bar Street and you will find English bars, Irish bars, Turkish bars, cocktail bars and nightclubs all in one street. One club called Daisies really stands out from the rest. Dasies is on the beach side Bar Street, and it’s great for a fun night out, with a center stage that you can dance on.
Istanbul
On Istiklal Caddesi you’ll find rock clubs, jazz clubs, R&B and hip hop clubs, trance and techno music clubs. Many clubs feature live bands regularly.
Reina is one of the most trendy clubs in Istanbul with a glittering Bosphorus view for the young and beautiful. Reina has become a celebrity hot spot for stars such as Paris Hilton, Sting, Uma Thurman, Salma Hayek, Paul Allen, Gloria Estefan, Kevin Costner, Lional Richie and Mike Tyson.
Taksim
Taksim Square is a thriving district within Istanbul. It stays lively untill the early hours of the morning, and the shops are all open late. There are a multitude of bars and restaurants to choose from along with a large number of night clubs. If safety is as important to you as a lively atmosphere, hang out in Taksim. The atmosphere is more low key and safer than other districts, and you can stay out late in Taksim without facing any problems. In Taksim, the resturants are also open until the wee hours of morning, so after clubbing you can refill with some Turkish food.
Bodrum
In Bodrum, it’s said there are mores discos than beds to sleep in! This is an exagerration, of course, but Bodrum does have a LOT of clubs and boasts one of the largest discos in Europe with the loudest sound system in town. If you’re young and wild, you must visit Halikarnas Disco, the biggest, trendiest and most stylish club in Bodrum, if not the whole Aegean. It’s expensive (the price of admission does include your first drink), but the setting, the laser show and the no-expenses-barred floorshow make it worth it if you have the money and the energy.
