Flux

Flux is a glamorous nightclub where the DJs mostly play trance, house, sometimes hip-hop and r&b. They are open until 4 a.m. They do have a dress code – you can’t wear any sportswear like sneakers or shorts.

Silence

Silence is a smaller and more intimate dance club where the DJs play trance, electro, and house music. There is no dress code.

Face

Face nightclub is a disco. There is no dress code.

Palace night club

A large dance club where the DJs play hip-hop, techno, and rock.

Irish pubs are very popular in Ulaanbaatar.

Grand Khaan Irish Pub

Live music several nights a week, a large selection of beer on tap, and a great mix of Western and Mongolian food. Very popular with locals, embassy officials, business people, and tourists.

Dublin Irish Pub

Relaxed atmosphere, more like an actual Irish pub, and very popular with the locals, great for watching sports from around the world.
Location: Peace Avenue a few blocks east of Sukhbataar Square

Theaters

Movie theaters are very popular in Ulaanbaatar, but there is only one multiscreen movie theater. This movie theater has English movies with Mongolian subtitles. It has multiple screens and runs like a western movie theater – with recent movies and a concession stand.
Location: the western side of Freedom Square, two blocks northwest of the Sukhbaatar Square
