As of yesterday, Vegas-bound passengers at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank now have pre-flight access to a Las Vegas concierge at gate A4 in Terminal A. The booth is open from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day and staffed by experts who can offer advice and book show tickets, restaurant reservations, golf tee times, and nightclub passes.
I like this idea because it puts extra time at the airport to good use, and gives people the chance to get into the vacation spirit a little bit earlier. Since Las Vegas seems to attract (or at least inspire) a slightly more fly-by-the-seat type, this sort of service seems ideal for people who aren’t doing a ton of advance planning but are still interested in eating at a specific restaurant or seeing a particular show while visiting.
