Wanna see the Queen Mary 2?

The Queen Mary 2 (or QM2 as her friends like to call her) is making her [% 332882 | | Brooklyn debut %] on Saturday, April 15. While most of us aren’t invited to the official ceremonies, New York area residents and hardcore fans willing to get to New York City can catch a glimpse of the famous ocean liner.

Cunard has very kindly provided a list of vantage points from which you can watch and cheer on the QM2 as she departs at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday. They include:

• Valentino Pier (also known as Coffey Street Pier) located on the waterfront in Red Hook at Coffey Street. Coffey Street is off Van Brunt Street.
• Beard Street Pier, an artist gallery complex located at the end of Van Brunt Street on the waterfront. The Beard Street Pier will be open to the public during daylight hours.
• Bay Ridge/Shore Parkway Bike Path, which runs along the bay between Bay Ridge Avenue and the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge in Brooklyn.
• Battery Park, a public park located at the southern tip of Manhattan.
• Staten Island Ferry, which departs from the St. George Ferry Terminal at 1 Bay Street, Richmond Terrace, Staten Island, and arrives at the Whitehall Terminal at 1 Whitehall Street at South Street in Lower Manhattan.
