Weekly Weird: The Return of Fetuses in Luggage

When it happens once, it’s weird. When it happens twice, it’s an epidemic. Seriously, people. Stop packing human fetuses in your luggage!

The NY Daily News reports that Chow Hok Kuen was arrested in Thailand after officials found six human fetuses in his luggage. Although the fetuses were roasted and covered in gold leaf, officials believe Keun was not planning on chowing down on them himself, but instead hoped to sell them for use in black magic.

Moving on … Here’s an idea—Don’t insult the woman flying your plane. MSNBC reports that a passenger on a Trip Airlines (a Brazilian carrier) began making loud, sexist remarks about his flight being piloted by a woman. The female pilot was not amused, and kicked him off before taking off without him.

You know how annoying those “voice responding” automated phone systems are? Now imagine that technology in airports! CNN reports that three New York-area airports are planning on introducing digital projections of virtual customer care representatives to help flyers out at the airport. The holograms won’t be able to answer questions, but will instead provide logistical information.

A woman claims she was kicked off an American Airlines flight for wearing a shirt that said “If I wanted the government in my womb, I’d f–k a senator.” The Huffington Post reports that the flight’s captain told her she would have to change into a shirt without an expletive, but since her baggage was checked and she didn’t have any other options, she missed her flight.

The call is coming from inside the passenger? ABC News reports that a US Airways flight from Paris to North Carolina had to be diverted after a passenger passed a note to the crew saying she had a surgically implanted device. Fearing that the woman had a bomb inside of her, the flight made an emergency landing in Bangor, Maine, where it was found that the woman did not have anything suspicious inside of her. The woman, a 41-year old from Cameroon, allegedly believed that she had something inside of her and wanted medical help from President Obama and American doctors.
