Just south of West Palm in the town of Lantana, you’ll find Manalapan beach. It has easy beach access and plenty of public parking. Singer Island has a huge beach where you can swim in the day, and watch baby sea turtles hatch at night.
Shop
Make sure to visit City Place shopping center located right off of Okeechobee Boulevard in downtown West Palm beach. It’s a huge, modern, and easily accessible outdoor mall with every store you can think of. The Clematis street historic district has many shops and restaurants housed in buildings from the 1920’s land boom. Upscale stores, excellent restaurants, and a number of bars line Atlantic Avenue in nearby Delray Beach. For the highest in high-end shopping, visit Worth Avenue in nearby Palm Beach. Even if you’re not buying, it’s a nice street for an after dinner stroll.
