Wonderful Ireland Trip

My daughter and I went to Ireland June 2010 and chose a tour with Collette Tour Company. We loved..loved every minute of our time in Ireland. We flew from Denver to London Heathrow and then on to Dublin. The flights with British Airways were really good, nothing to complain about with flights.

We stayed at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin for two nights. The tour with Collette was really top notch. All the hotels were really good..we also stayed at the Granville in Waterford, The Killarney Avenue Hotel in Killarney, The Raddisson Bleu in Limerick and the Cabra Castle in Kingscourt. All the hotels were wonderful and the breakfast buffet’s were all great. If ever in Ireland ..eat the dairy products!! The best yogurt and ice cream I’ve ever had.

We saw the Cliffs of Moher, the Blarney Castle where we kissed the stone! We toured around the Ring of Kerry..did a walking tour of Waterford ..and stayed in a Castle! Every day we had 2 or 3 hrs to ourselves in different towns along the way..for shopping, lunch, toured another castle in Kilkenny. We were there for the Summer Solstice so had really long days..the sun did not set till 10:45!

In the evenings were partied in Pubs in Dublin, Kilkenny and Waterford and really had a great time! Lot’s of very special memories for us in Ireland. If anyone out there had any doubts about going on a tour..I can really advise that if you want to do a lot, see a lot and have someone else take care of the arrangements, a tour would work for you too.
