It’s been a busy few days for [[Icelandair]]. The carrier has announced two new initiatives that I consider good news: Adding two new European destinations to its route map, and slashing fuel surcharges across the board at the same time.
The two new destinations are Stavanger, Norway, and Dusseldorf, Germany. They become part of a route network that also includes London, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Madrid, Glasgow, Zurich, and Reykjavik, among others.
Icelandair is reducing its fuel surcharges on flights to Reykjavik by $58 and on flights to continental Europe by $98. British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have also made similar cuts in recent weeks.
